The idiom "for the birds" is an American slang term that means something is worthless, foolish, ridiculous, or useless. It can also be used to describe something that is unimportant or trivial, or that is not a good idea and probably won't work. For example, you might say "Their opinions on art are for the birds"
Cameron and Elijah set out to simply film some tricks on a new camera, and no it wasn’t a VX, HVX, or HPX.. With no expectations, they ended up exploring the process of making an edit, while following a few unconventional restrictions.
*No Fisheye*
*No Slow-Mo*
*No Second Angles*
*No Editing Wizardry*
“In a world where life seems to increasingly be “for the birds”, it was an enjoyable process making this video over the course of about 8 weeks. We managed to wrap it up in time for a premiere at Blade Cup, welcomed by a warm reception from our peers.
Cameron Talbott is a passionate human and skater, and he puts his heart out there without hesitation. The artist in me respects that vulnerability, the drive to persevere, and the attention to detail. I hope you enjoy the edit as much as I enjoyed the creation and time spent together. Some tricks came easy, some tricks came hard, but they’re all for the birds…”
